At Miall’s we offer a service to pick up firearms and ammunition from police stations as the owner of the firearm is unable to do this service themselves, it can only be conducted via authorized dealers such as Miall’s Gun Shop.
Police pick up fees:
These fees will vary depending where the police station is located as there is travel involved with the service provided.
Our costs start at a minimum of $200.00 which include 3 months free storage included, after the 3 months you will be charged $30.00 per firearm per month. Your card details will be provided when raging this service. Anything outside of this direct location you will need to contact Mialls directly to get an estimated quote on this service. Please be mindful of the time constraints on this service as there are many factors involved in the process of collecting firearms that are put in place by the law. Allow up to 4 weeks for this service to be complete.
Fees must be paid upfront prior to pick up of the firearm along with the form filled out with the correct details.

It is important to note that Miall’s will not be held responsible if there is any damage or missing components to your firearm/s.
After service:
When we collect the firearms they will be taken out of the licence holder's name and will require a permit to acquire upon collection if this is an option.
After the service is complete and the firearms are in temporary storage (3 months free storage included) after the 3 months you will be charged $30.00 per firearm per month. At Miall’s you are welcome to discuss what you would like to do with your firearm. Below are some ideas/suggestions Miall’s recommends.
Miall’s can hold on to your firearms until you are potentially in a position to claim back your firearms until further notice.
Miall’s can buy the firearms off you if they are a product we believe is durable although Miall’s will not buy any ammunition.
Transfer the firearm into another holders name (they need to have their firearms licence and meet all law requirements prior to this arrangement)
You will need to arrange an appointment with Miall’s to conclude this service.
